Meetings

Zoning board meets the third Monday of every month at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall.

Planning Board meets the first and third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall.

Required Items Needed for a Building Permit

  1. 2 sets of plans with an original stamp and signature of a New York State Licensed design professional.
  2. 1 specification sheet (PDF, 9K)
  3. 1 application for Building Permit (PDF, 10K)
  4. 1 plot plan showing the location of the construction from the property lines
  5. 1 permit for septic system from Rensselaer County Public Health Department (offsite links)
  6. Insurance Certificate with the Town of Brunswick named as additional insured. Acceptable forms are WC/DB-100, WC/DB-101, C-105.2, U-26.3, SI-105.2. Forms can be obtained through your insurance provider.

To apply for a permit, bring the items listed above to the Building Department at the Town Office Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm.
